When it rains, it pours.
I am now the happy owner of a Toyota Rav4. Suzie the Subaru had two cracked head gaskets and was spewing coolant all over the place. I won’t go into the why’s because it doesn’t matter now, but I will say that I’m glad I didn’t push it with her and just took her to the shop shortly after my engine was smoking from being on the highway. Needless to say, I do firmly believe that if things had been done regularly with it as was their job (since they refused to help me with the housework), I probably could of lasted a few more months before problems started.
I love my new car. It’s sooner than I was planning to purchase it, but I didn’t really see what else to do in the meantime because I need something dependable. I’m not going to drive something that’s got the potential to explode. I also wasn’t going to sink $4000 into fixing it when the plan was to get rid of it in a few months anyways. It’s also nice to have picked something out for myself that only has my name on it. This will be the fifth vehicle I’ve ever owned. It’s pretty awesome.
Budget is going to be a bit tight for the next month or so, but I can survive that until one of the houses sell. I just have to be patient. More importantly, knock on every single piece of wood I can find.
I promise, pictures later when I actually have daylight. One of the things that sucks living so far north, we’re still only down to maybe 6 hours of daylight right now (but gaining about 6 minutes a day, so yay!)!
