Day 7

We finally seem to be getting a normal winter for once. It’s been downright cold. To the point of cold and miserable. I’m really not a fan of subarctic temperatures, unless there’s snow. The snow just looks cool in my opinion. It’ll crystallize in mid air and look like fluffy bits of ice cold cotton. And everything looks brighter. I think that’s kind of what’s been hardest this winter. Usually we get snow in October and have a few feet on the ground.

Last month was the record lowest for precipitation, sadly. We finally got a good dump though the last week of November. It’s still not nearly enough in my opinion, but it’s better than nothing at all. That’s something I’ll always stand by: there should be snow on the ground if it’s going to be downright freezing.
