Thimble the Fairy

It’s not actually the name of the pattern, but I felt she needed her own name. One thing I need to improve is how to build a wire skeleton for these dolls. Beyond that, she was a lot of fun to make! My favorite part was making the wings. Playing with the fake rhinestones and trying to configure them made for a fun Saturday morning… with lots of glue!

The pattern is available on etsy and is the Fairy Iris. I should note, I made this for myself because I haven’t made a doll for just me in a while. I was learning some new techniques too. I have three other dolls in my queue to do too, some gifts, some for potential other things. Acorn Girl will probably be my next foray into doll making. September and her Rabbit and also Luciella the Winter Fairy will be follow up after that.. each with some interesting hair decorations. I have such a beautiful queue of projects, sometimes it’s so difficult just to concentrate on one things.

I think that’s my favorite part. I just need to get better at the doll “skeleton” so she doesnt have to use a stand. ūüėÖ
