About

Messy Hair and Coffee is a personal life style blog, where I, the writer, divulge juicy secrets and spread gossip like wildfire.  Just kidding… I mostly write about things I’m interested in and I am interested in a lot of things. You’ll see a splattering of talk about fiber and the wonders of crochet as well as my epic failed attempts to become a knitter. If you’re a fellow fiber enthusiast, you should friend me on ravelry. I also like to dabble in the arts (even if I might not feel justified calling myself an artist). My primary interest is in Digital Art (mostly 3D and fractals because, well, less mess), but you’ll see the occasional traditional thing depending on the time of year and what’s currently going on in my life. I also write in my free time, but may be a little more protective of it as I don’t always post creative pieces here. However, you can read some of my pieces at FictionPress.

My hope for this spot on the web is to share my story about my life, my explorations, my successes, and my failures. No subject, if it is of interest to me, is safe from my clutchy hands. Things that are going on in my life will always take precedent. This is my escape, my release to better understand myself and to better understand why things happen the way they do.

So, who am I exactly? I’m a mid-life female who thought she had her life planned out perfect. Now I’m a divorcee trying to figure out my life all over again (and after several years, clawed my way out of depression). I’ve fallen in love with a new significant other (never thought that could happen) and I’m rediscovering what it’s like to be accepted for who I am rather than being constantly berated to be something I’m not (beware the narcissistic partner). I’m K, in a nut shell, so who are you?
