Fan I Am Cowl

And I have another cowl to add to the collection. I love the color of this yarn. It’s so pretty.

I really enjoyed this pattern. It had a variety of ways of stitch patterns and the change between a double strand and a single strand kept me interested in continuing it to work on it. I also learned an interesting way to join together that took me a second to figure out (it wasn’t simply sewing the two sides together, like most patterns I’ve worked on). You can find the pattern here. read more

December Crochet Crazy

This is a post that’s been a while in the making. It’s been taking me a bit to pull the photos from my camera and then sit down and actually look at posting them up. These were gifts that I gave to family and one was for a white elephant.

Ravellenic Winter Games

It’s been a long week of still trying to catch up with things for work (especially since I was gone for 3 weeks) and in between all of that, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the Ravellenic Winter Games. She was an ancient old sorceress hoping to be reborn into the new world after cursing the man who killed her. read more

Andraste

I am beginning a much needed four day weekend. I thought I’d start it out right by finishing a few pieces and started with this one. No special story to go with it, I’m kind of not in the creative writing mood, but I’m pretty happy with this one. I’m thinking of doing a few more renders with this character (will see if I actually carry said renders to the completion line). I’m also seemingly in a monotone mood. Probably because we’ve been grey and dusky every single evening this week? read more

Last Dance

And, yes, I finished it. I’m actually really happy with this piece and that it finally captured what I had in my head.

She dances with playful dragons.

So, a few facts, the main part of this image is composed and rendered in Daz|Studio using Iray. And then I photoshopped the rest (background, a few effects, color blend changes, etc). This also has become my first uploaded piece at my new DeviantART profile. read more
