Kevin Minion

I actually did this project back in December, but hadn’t had a chance to get any photos taken. I did post an instagram of it with the cell phone pictures, but figured it was time to take better ones. This was a pattern that comes with all three minions (there is also Stew and Bob). Unfortunately, the pattern has disappeared (I picked it up on etsy). I still have the other two to make, so we’ll see if I get to them in time. The most time consuming part was assembly =/ read more

Mega Man

After I made the Beau a Deadpool doll for his birthday last year, he asked me to do a Mega Man. So I did. The head is a little funky and I don’t like that it doesn’t seem to have extra support for the head, but it was a rather easy doll to put together and it didn’t really take that long to do either. read more

La Coeur Cowl

So things seem to have transferred right. I wanted to give it a few days before continuing to post projects up, so now to get back to my regularly scheduled posts…

This is part of a cowlorama along that I’m continuing to do as part of Voie de Vie’s five years of design celebration. This was super simple and quick to work up because of the thicker yarn used and the larger stitches. I thoroughly enjoyed this project. read more

Ode Wristers

This is the first a-long that will be going on, I think, all year. I had some fun with this pattern and knew I wanted to make it one of my first patterns to do in Voie de Vie‘s newest pattern book Fait le Main.

This was actually my first broomstick lace project. I really like the look, but I’m not sure if I could do this for a bigger project. It was kind of tedious balancing the knitting needle with the crochet hook. And I couldn’t move as fast as I usually do with learning the new technique. It definitely can add that extra “aw” factor if a pattern needed another pop to it. So I’m glad to have the technique in my back pocket. read more

Owl Hooded Blanket

I’m slowly trying to catch up with posting projects here. This was a commission project for a friend looking for a unique gift for a baby shower. Apparently the blanket was very much loved and I almost got a second project out of it. The pattern can be found here. read more

Afternoon Skies Afghan

I thought I would take a break from talking about the craziness of my life and actually post pictures of a finished project. I actually have a few finished projects, so this is the first post of the year with a few more lined up. As long as I don’t get sidetracked *wink* read more
