I’m going to see if I can actually make this happen this time around. I’m still feeling like I’m in a funk, but I don’t feel like grey clouds are hanging over me either, so I’m taking it as a positive sign. So just a few goals:
For the last three days I’ve been dealing with some serious migraine issues. Pretty sure though, as of today at least, that it’s allergy related. The headache itself is now under control, but I still have this dull throbbing, now finally centralized over the left side of my face. I also learned the other week that my rogue tooth will be meeting the end of its life before it develops potential severe symptoms for me. A few years ago, I had a strange anomaly show up on my x-rays showing a dark center to my tooth. On the outside of the tooth, it’s looked just fine, no problems (I still haven’t even had symptoms). Dentist sprayed direct cold air on it to get me to react (I felt absolutely nothing). So, we’ve been keeping an eye on it. At my last cleaning, the hygienist noticed that it’s started to look pink on the outside. The x-ray this year (when compared to last year’s), show there’s quite a bit more degradation to the inside of the tooth.
These last few weeks have been a bit of a struggle time wise. There’s a lot of things going on that need to be completed (work related) and I feel like I lack the proper motivation to get it done. But I did find something amusing. Out of the three of us, the contractors training us last week came to me at the end of three days and ask me directly if they could just go straight to me to get something because my two counterparts couldn’t sit still for more than ten minutes at a time. Apparently, I’m the workhorse. Personally, I hate procrastinating on things because life’s easier without things hanging over your head, where the other two would work ungodly hours at night and the weekend. I often have to stop and remind myself that I work to live, not vice versa.
Time. Probably one of my number one biggest complaints when it comes to balancing the adulting activities with the “fun” activities. This morning, we spent it moving a rickety, unsturdy, falling apart dining room table out of the way to make way for a new really sturdy dining room table. After that, we spent a good bit of time outside shoveling snow. SNOW. IN FEBRUARY. It never snows anymore in February.
This was a long ass week. I flew out on Sunday, 3 hours late. Missed all of my connecting flights as a result. So I got to my destinations 8 hours passed my original planned arrival time (this means instead of getting in at 4 in the afternoon, I ended up getting in at midnight, with a class that I had to be up at 6 for). Add to this? My luggage failed to follow me.
My sister came to visit and then I like fizzled out. I think I did pretty good last month with nearly writing something every single day. We did a lot of things though and I still managed to catch a stomach virus the last two days of my vacation as well. Yay! Holidays!
