My dad’s birthday was this week and at the beginning of the month, I decided to send a gift this year. I haven’t done that in a little while because I hardly have time for gifts and stress enough with Christmas. It’s not a really good excuse, but it’s what seems to happen with me (personal time management aside). So I decided to make and send him a Yoda.
And I have another cowl to add to the collection. I love the color of this yarn. It’s so pretty.
I really enjoyed this pattern. It had a variety of ways of stitch patterns and the change between a double strand and a single strand kept me interested in continuing it to work on it. I also learned an interesting way to join together that took me a second to figure out (it wasn’t simply sewing the two sides together, like most patterns I’ve worked on). You can find the pattern here.
This is a post that’s been a while in the making. It’s been taking me a bit to pull the photos from my camera and then sit down and actually look at posting them up. These were gifts that I gave to family and one was for a white elephant.
I made a unicorn for my sister.
It’s been a long week of still trying to catch up with things for work (especially since I was gone for 3 weeks) and in between all of that, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the Ravellenic Winter Games. This occurs during the Winter Olympics and the goal is to complete as many projects as possible in the various categories that are puns after the actual events.
This is from a pattern set I picked up a while back, but I’d only done one of the patterns (Kevin) from it before. I made a few modifications to it as I worked on it. I also made it for Russ’ mom who is a HUGE minions fan. It was time (and she really admired Kevin… even though puppy got a hold of him and ripped all his hair out *harumpf face*). We’re a little late in getting it into the mail, but it should be to her shortly.
So one of my last projects I did before giving my hand a break is this attempt at a dragon. He’s cute, but there are, like most of my creations, a few things I would of done differently. For now, he’s cute and likes hanging out on potted plants and the back of a couch.
